Frying Skills:

This page offers an overview of Seafish fish frying certificates and access to free downloads for customer service, food hygiene, health & safety and fish frying skills.

The links below give free access to Seafish Fish Frying Skills and Customer Service Skills workbook content. These cover food safety, health & safety and fish frying skills. If you would like to receive a recognised Seafish certifcate for your work your will need to enrol on the appropriate programme. For further information please contact the National Federation of Fish Friers.

There are two certificate programmes availlable:

Fish Frying Skills. This qualification consists of two self study workbooks focusing on the preparation and cooking of fish and chips. Hygiene and Health & Safety are also included. Students can complete an on-site assessment with a certificate issued to successful candidates. More information on the certification process here.

Customer Service Skills.
Like the Fish Frying Skills qualification, there are two self study workbooks. Customer Service, Hygiene and Health & safety are the topics covered and candidates successful with an on-site assessment will be issued with a Customer Service Skills certificate.
