The Seafood Training Academy has a great deal for fish friers as well as chefs and others preparing cooked seafood.

Fish Frying training courses are available from the National Federation of Fish Friers, who delivery one and three day courses. The NFFF and Seafish are able to offer workbased learning packages in Fish Frying Skills and Customer Service Skills which are a mix of open learning pack and in-shop assessment by an external assessor.

The materials used for these 'skills' courses are available from this website free of charge. If you take the course itself you will be provided with printed study packs.

Seafish have a free DVD - Fish Frying Skills, which is available upon request from Seafish, Grimsby. Extracts from the DVD are also available (here)from this site.

Food Safety and Health & Safety training can be undertaken as taught courses or through open learning at level 2. A multilingual course (Level 1 only) is available as a taught programme and we have a Level 3 eLearning programme for managers.

The Frying skills and customer service skills programmes include an element of food safety and H&S training which may be sufficient for your needs.
