A key part of your job role will be
to ensure that the shop or restaurant that you work at is ready
to serve customers when you open the doors for business. This
segment will look at some of the tasks you will be expected
to complete in order to be ready for opening.
AIMS OF THE SEGMENT
When you have completed this segment
you will:
• understand why it is important to
complete cleaning tasks before the end of a shift;
• explain the tasks to be completed
in a takeaway before opening the doors to the customers;
• list the duties to be completed by
a waiter or waitress in a restaurant prior to opening for business.
