Food Safety Training - Level 3 Summary

Intermediate Food Hygiene by eLearning

This nationally recognised food safety training programme is now available to the seafood industry throughout the UK via our network of registered examination invigilators.

Course Location

With telephone tutor assigned to you and locally organised exams, where would you like the course to be located? At home or at work? You can study at a time, place and pace to suit you.

Course Content

The interactive CD contains the following modules:-

• Your Role, Legal requirements, Staff Training, Effective Training;
• Contamination hazards, Multiplication and survival hazards, Food spoilage and food-borne illness;
• Control measures, people premises and equipment, Cleaning and disinfection, From purchase to service;
• HACCP and food safety, Implementing HACCP, Conducting a hazard analysis,
• From CCPs to corrective actions, Verification and documentation.

Supported by seafood specific hygiene training DVD and example HACCP Plan

Course Costs

This programme costs in the region of £300 per person, including tutor support and the examination. Seafish funding support of up to £150 is no longer available for employees of seafood companies in the UK.

Most other Level 3 courses will cost around this much, and require a 3 day absence from work.
